ADR: Löffler leads ahead of final round!

By Andreas Hultgren on TBR|

Andreas Löffler will be in the lead of the ADR WTCC championship going into the last round on Februari 13th. In the penultimate round at AMS Renault Test Track Löffler started off well with a thrid place in race one. Gregory Degreef finished in 4th despite 70 kg of ballast and the thrid Rebel of the day, Andreas Hultgren, finished 5th. A good race for the team.

Race 2 started off bad for Hultgren as he had the best position when the lights went out. He didn’t get far though before trouble hit as his rear snapped on him in turn one and he spun around before hitting the wall hard. Löffler once again became the highest finisher of the Rebels with 5th. He was in the lead for some time but lost out of a podium as the tyres overheated faster than the oponents. Degreef finished in a lonely 7th and Hultgren, depite the off at the start and another crash in the same turn, finished inside the points in 9th.

Löffler leads by 5 points with two races left. Degreef has a shot at 4th and Hultgren will probably have to settle for 7th overall.

Drivers standings after round 7:
1. Andreas Löffler 198p
2. Tobias Tannreuther 193p

4. Jörg Klein 162p

RDHGP review Rouen Les Essarts

By Andreas Löffler on TBR|

After the winterbreak is almost over here an overview abouts last RDHGP championchip race of Rouen Les Essarts. With newbie Gregory Degreef in the league,  four TBR´s went into the race. The specific track with long straights played Ivo Simons with the Pantera in his cards and he could qualified in 2nd on the grid. Also David Cuthill made a good job in second Pantera on P6. Andreas Löffler in Porsche 911 moved still in top 10 on P8 while Gregory Degreef in trouble who could made only one fast lap qualified on P13 with the Ford Capri.

The race later went well for TBR´s apart David´s one. After nice racing in the top 5 he had an unlucky accident which forced him to leave the race. Other for Ivo, Greg and Andreas. While Ivo moved from the start in leading position, Andreas managed to get some position´s to be best Porsche driver in fifth. Greg show a great performance and jump up from 13th to a very fine 2nd place in his first GTL league race. But the win together with fastest lap time goes invulnerably  to Ivo. With Andreas in P5 all finished TBR´s ended the race in the top 5 which is a great result for the team.

With this result the driver championchip moved closer. Ivo is now in second, 3 points behind leader Gary Lennon. Andreas dropped down from 2nd to 3rd but with lesser gap to the top position. After only 1 race we find Greg already in P14 in the standings while unlucky David, this season, stay on P18 of 31 listed driver.

First win of season for TBR Ruta Destroy

By Andreas Löffler on TBR|

The holdover of  TBR Ruta Destroy Andreas Hultgren took the first season win for his team in the ADR WTCC Championchip on italians Saponaro track. With also 20kg extra weight he moved his Honda already on 2nd spot in qualy. Teammate Andreas Löffler  put his BMW with 70kg extra on P7.

First race standing start went well for Andreas H with keeping second first corner, Andreas L could repeated the Beemer power from Donington and turn in first corner in P3. Both showed a cnocentrated performance without any mistakes. For Andreas H means that winning with a controled 2sec gap to 2nd. Andreas L had only one driver to pass and finished on P4.

Second run became full of action and in the middle of that both TBR driver. To believe the action watch our highlight vid on the bottom. Unfortunately Andreas H crashed out in leading position. Thats after a tactical masterstroke cause he started from 8th. Andreas L was fighting for the podium but after involved in a horrowcrash by another driver he lost time and positions and finished finally in P5. Other TBR´s was not started, we hope they can be back next year at Andreas L hometrack on the Nürburgring in germany.

Success for TBR in Donington

By Andreas Löffler on TBR|

Once again great results for the TBR team in the ADR WTCC 07 Championchip. In Donington drove Gregory Degreef, Andreas Löffler (both BMW) and Andreas Hultgren (Honda). Gregory takes pole position althought 20kg additional weight. Andreas L started from 5th with 60kg and Andreas H right behind from 6th position.

First race Andreas L got a phenomenal start and put his BMW already behind Gregory before the first corner. Throught the one or other incident and his good race pace Andreas H completed the podium for TBR after 15 min of race 1.

Second run in reversed grid of the first eight it becames harder. Andreas L involved in incidents which cost him time and places. Finally he finished 7th but at least in front of his biggest rivals in the championchip. Andreas H and Gregory drove a very good race again and jump both on the podium on 2nd and 3rd.

RDCCC final in Laguna Seca

By Andreas Löffler on TBR|

Last weekend the RD Camaro Cup championchip season 3 finished on great Laguna Seca circuit. The champion Rami Kaukola was almost save. With finishing in the points, second in the standings TBR driver Andreas Löffler would have no chance to beat him. More interesting become the fight for second position in standings between Löffler and Peter Duivelaar. Only a 5 points gap was between them. Löffler got a advance with taken the pole position and the from this included extra point. Duivelaar went from 7th in the race. Second TBR driver Andreas Hultgren started from his usually 11th place. For him the possibility was there to jump in top 10 in overall standings by recover two points to Martin Kraaijenbrink.

In race Löffler had a good pace also with fastest race lap but overall both rpm driver Rami Kaukola and Peter Duivelaar who won was in front of him. With finished in 3rd it means he lost exactly the 5 points to Duivelaar from the standings. Only because of the pole point he saved his overall second position in standings. Andreas Hultgren finished in top 10 in 9th position but only one place in front of Kraaijenbrink. So he taken only one point from the two points gap. In overall standings he finished on eleven, a place which followed him over the whole league.

RDHGP made station in swedish Anderstorp

By Andreas Löffler on TBR|

After a good start from the TBR drivers Ivo Simons – in the Pantera started from 4th – and Andreas Löffler – in 911s started from 2nd – the race went not so perfectly. From leading position Simons spun and lost some places. Now he came together with David Cuthill, the third TBR driver also in a Pantera who started from 14th. In a big pack pack of cars they had a hard fight for the positions. Whilst Simons could manage to go back on 4th in finish, Cuthill ended finally close at the top 10 on 12th position. Löffler who leaded the race had bad luck with a spin and luck with a crash which had could be result easily in a DNF. With this two mistakes the jump on the podium in P3 is a quite good result. Next race will be on 9th of decembre in france on Rouen Les Essarts circuit. There a fourth TBR driver will jump in the league. Gregory Degreef, winner of  RD Camaro league S2 and recent RD WTM league, will start with a Ford Capri. We can be anxious if the domination of Porsche driver Gary Lennon can be breaken.

Mixed result for TBR in RDHGP opening

By Andreas Löffler on TBR|

RaceDepartment´s Hstoric Grand Prix start´s in his 6th season yesterday. With in three TBR´s hunting for point´s. Ivo and David in the Pantera plus Andreas in his Porsche 911s. In qualy Ivo managed a great 3rd position. Whereas Andreas ended on 9th with a time far away from his training result and David only from 22nd of 26 starting cars.

First lap second corner already the track take his tribute. Pole sitter Ryan Callan runs wide against thy tyre wall and was out of the race, a very short race for him. With this Ivo jump in the lead in front of gary Lennon. Andreas could go already up to 5th place after lap 1. Behind him it comes to an big accident with several cars included. David could profite from this up to P15 after 5 laps. Ivo on top was already looking for a tactical race with his faster Pantera on the straights against Gary to defend the lead when his FFB died which result in wall kiss and later in another going over the gravel. Andreas was able to climb up till 2nd place, only one bigger problem for him was a collision with a lagging car which cost him the gap to 3rd place holder Ralf Eiden in the BMW.

At the end Andreas managed to save P2 with 4 tenth to Ralf. Ivo finished at least in P5 and David pick up some points in P15. Dominated win with 20 sec in front goes to Gary Lennon, also in the 911s. Next stop in the championchip will be Anderstorp in Sweden. The team hope´s to stay at temmembers Andreas Hultgren´s or Mikael Hellen´s house for the weekend to spare some money. No, they are not gay !!! :-D

driver standings:

  1. Gary Lennon 26p
  2. Andreas Löffler 22p
  3. Ralf Eiden 20p
  4. Amir Margalit 18p
  5. Ivo Simons 16p

15. David Cuthill 6p
