TBR: Action packed racing at Donny

By Andreas Hultgren on TBR|

The first round of the TBR 2010 Championship, the champinship where the team members go head to head with each other, was held at Donington and it National layout. Andreas Löffler stormed to pole to clinch the first point of the season but he would not be first over the line in race 1. Gregory Degreef wanted other things and after a race long battle between the two the beat his compatriot with .6 of a second.

Andreas Hultgre and David Cuthill was with the top group for a couple of laps but later dropped off and had their own battle that lasted for quite some laps. A mistake by DC in McLeans could see Hultgren pass and take the final spot on the podium.

After a fantastic first race the second one would have much to live up to and so it did. Right from the get go the drivers, all six of them, were in a mighty battle with sometimes four wide (!). Andreas Hultgren who could pass both Kevin Ledoux and DC had built up a gap of about a second to the chasing cars when disaster struck with 5 to go. Gregory made a little mistake in the Old Hairpin and Dariusz Swiderski had no were to go. Andreas Löffler also joined the crashfest and all of a sudden Hultgren were alone and could take it easy to the flag.

DC, who had tested the grip level in the gravel trap after a little mistake in Coppice, managed to get second while Gregory Degreef managed to get to grips with his damaged car to pass Kevin Ledoux on the last lap to score third.

STC: Sugo a race to forget for the Rebels

By Andreas Hultgren on TBR|

TBR lacked a bit of form when the Simracing Team Challenge headed to the twisty Sugo circuit, Japan. After a great start to the season and a third place in the standings going into the event, Andreas Löffler and Mikael Hellén took on the Corvette this time. But it was a difficult task.

Mikael started in 14th and over the line he was 11th. But it could have been a top 10 for the Swede had he not got punted of the track at a late stage of the race while being 9th. Andreas also had a tough race after starting in the position just behind Mikael. He came over the line in 13th.

Despite the relativly bad result the team clings on to that 3rd place in the standings but lost to the two teams infront, DMSv and RPM. RPM took their first win of the season with Marcin Skrzypczak behind the wheels. His teammate Rami Kaukola made it a 1-4 for that team and is now trailing DMSv by only eight points.

RDCCC: Round 2

By Andreas Hultgren on TBR|

The team had a great second race in the RD Camaro Cup Championship. The race was held at the fast Old Ring Park and the drivers were somewhat sceptic about their chances this time but they proved everyone wrong.

Andreas Löffler put his Camaro on the pole for a second time in a row but this time he also managed to take home the win despite having a close battle with RPM’s Cristopher Aponte in the first half of the race. Gregory Degreef continued his great pace and finished 2nd after starting 4th, making it a one-two for the Rebels!

Andreas Hultgren had a much better race then he expected and finished in a fine 6th while David García in the last Rebel Camaro finished 13th.

By Andreas Hultgren on TBR|

Round one of the RDCCC was held this week and it was a good race for the Rebels.

Gregory Degreef finished highest of the teams drivers with a fine 2nd behind the winner Ben Tusting of Black Visor Motorsport. Degreef lost his splitter early on and was after that never in contention to fight for the win. Andreas Löffler started from pole but he suffered a drive through during the race and also had to pit an extra time. This lead him to finish in 9th. Andreas Hultgren were the 3rd and last Rebel in the race and after qualifying way down the order he eventually finished 13th.

TBR finishes 8th overall in STC Black Cup 2009!

By Andreas Hultgren on TBR|

The last race of the STC season was held last Thursday and the team had a really good run going with Wietse Visser and Ivo Simons behind the wheels of the teams Ferraris.

But as usual this season the results were not on the teams side as Visser, who was fighting for a top 8 finish, had big contact with the wall and later caught fire and couldn’t finish the race. Simons managed to bring his car over the line in 13th. DHR SimCraft took a 1-2 and took the championship for the second time in a row.

Overall the season has been a disapointment with results outside the top 10 on more occations then the team had hoped for. Next season can only go better.

Overall great results in RDSTL

By Andreas Hultgren on TBR|

The team had despite some problems a great weekend in the RDSTL as the series headed to Istanbul.

Gregory Degreef had the best day of them all as he finished in an amazing 2nd but it was a close call as he only had .2 litres of fuel left. His teammate Mehmet Arslan came hom in a fine position too as he finished 7th. Andreas Löffler was the only driver of the day in the TBR1 team as Mikael Hellén had PC trouble. Löffler made it home in a fin 5th.

In the second division things looked worse though as Clive Siggs were the only Rebel there but he had to park his car after only 5 laps.
