Andreas had an ok qualifying considering little practice time and started 12th. But it changed pretty fast for Andreas as he got taken for a ride in Les Combes on the opening lap where he got a hit from behind and lost 30 seconds. He fought his way back in a lonely race to finish 14th. “Didn’t get the best passage through Eau Rouge on lap one and had to take the inside line into Les Combes. Then someone thought he had an F1 car with carbon brakes because he missed his mark with a country mile. I got rear ended harder then Jenna Jameson. From there on it was just damage limitation.”

Both drivers will again be in division one for round four at Portimao. Jan is 11th inte the standings on 162 points with Andreas in 14th on 147 points.

Jan held his place in the early stages of the race but after keeping up with p1 he was forced to focus on the fight for 2nd when pole sitter and eventual race winner Helder Filipe pulled away. It all looked good for Jan but again the pitstop was a race decider for him. It didn’t go as bad as last time but he lost ground and in the end he finished in a solid 4th.

Andreas had a god race aswell. He got off to a good start and was batteling many cars untill he got hit from behind on lap 7. He lost a couple of positions but his pitstop was good and he recovered to finish 12th after suffering tyre problems near the end of the race.

Racedepartment – rFactor 2 opening event – Qualification hotlap with Ivo Simons

rFactor 2 is yet in BETA stage, but in a period of 6 months the final version will be released. Few events are being organized in various  communities around the internet, and today, we had the first one broadcasted live at RaceDepartment with the lovely Meganes at the circuit of Mills, Ivo Simons and Edgar Herrero were there to test them out with full throttle! As the game is a beta, it has some bugs, and that caused both rebels to DNF and not to complete the race sadly.

But hey, it’s just the first one of many many events! Epic years of simracing are coming up, and the rebels are going to be there for sure, we wont miss the action!

Jan qualyfied 11th for the race and was on his way to a top 10 finish when he entered the pits for his one and only stop. That was when the fun ended for him. He didn’t get any fuel into his car and had to drive around the track again. He never came that far though before running out of fuel and the DNF was a fact.

Andreas had a better expearience in division 2 and qualyfied 7th. He soon found himself 5th after a couple of drivers ahead of him disapeared. Before his pitsop he had to defend hard but after his stop he was alone for a while. He lost a place but later gained one and eventually he crossed the line in 4th.

Depending on how the organizers count the DNS’s and DNF’s Jan may stay in division 1 for round 2. The results havn’t been posted yet though so  it’s all a bit of a question mark. One thig is certain though, Andreas will move up to divisino 1.

Other members are already competing in the highest license and showing the TBR colours to the rest of the fields, with Harald and Xosé doing from GT to oval races and with Mikael and David completing the whole season in the Multi Class series with the gorgeous Corvette.  Some other TBR members have their account alive and kicking at iRacing, but we are plretty sure the team spirit will be increased in the sim once the endurance and team creation features are implemented in the series.

Chris made a steady race with finishing finally one place higher on P14. Andreas missed a better result after a S&G and a crash with FDD driver Nick Deeley.

Also involved in that incident was race leader Robin Johansson (Gubbklubben) which throw him out of the race. Andreas had to make an additional stop for repair but could drive further the race. Finally he finished on P10, after the incidents a good result.

The win took WBR driver Dinca Andrei. A great result had FDR on P2 and P4, who had a no qualify penalty. Completed was the podium from FOR driver Ben Tusting. With both cars in good points TBR is find now on P6 in the overall standings.
