The team and STC headed to Spa-Francorchamps for the 6th round of the Black Cup. But the results were no where near what the team had hoped for.
Andreas Löffler qualifyed in a good 9th and was set to bring home a really nice result at the famous track. But a few laps into the race all the positive thoughts went away as Löffer had a pretty big off at Eau Rouge. He had to visit the pits way too early and his strategy went from one to two stops. A strategy that ruined his chances for a good result and he finished as last runnning car in 18th.
His teammate for the day, Andreas Hultgren, had a pretty rough day aswell and had a poor qualifying and had to start down in 18th. After a couple of wild first laps where he first gained some places but then lost some he finally fought his ill-handeling Ferrari to 15th at the end.
The only thing to be happy about for the team is that both cars scored points but hopes about finishing on the top half of the standings are pretty much gone.
